Housing Element
The Housing Element is a chapter in the City’s General Plan that outlines our plan to meet the housing needs of everyone in the community. It is mandated by the State and needs to be updated every 8 years.
Piedmont’s 6th Cycle Housing Element, which address the planning period 2023-2031, was adopted in March 2023 and certified by the State of California in November 2023.
The Housing Element includes our goals, policies, and programs to address new and more types of housing. It also includes a needs assessment as well as analysis of housing capacity and constraints.
